Meet the Faculty

Contact Brena
Dr. Mauck has taught courses and/or labs in Survey Biology for non-majors, General Biology, Human Physiology, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Microbiology, Genetics, Anatomy, and Molecular Biology.  Mauck holds a B.S. in mathematics from Fort Hays Kansas State College, B.S. degrees in chemistry and biology from Washburn University of Topeka, M.B.A from Washburn University of Topeka and a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences from Wright State University. She joined the University in 2006.



Contact Phyllis

Dr. Higley has taught courses in General Biology, Introductory Cell Biology, Microbiology, Field Biology, Environmental Science, and Botany. Her research publications are in the area of plant pathology, and she has made presentations on Bioterrorism, Biosecurity, and Distance Education. Higley earned a B.S. from Cornell University and a M.S. and Ph.D. from Iowa State University. She joined the University in 2007

Contact Jeff
Dr. Keyte teaches a variety of courses in human biology - human anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.  He also manages CSM's Cadaver Lab, which provides students an opportunity to learn human anatomy through dissection and exploration of cadaver specimens. He holds a B. A. in Psychology from the University of Chicago, and an M. D. from St. Louis University School of Medicine.  He completed pediatrics residency at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.  He joined the university in 2009

Contact Anthony
Limato teaches anatomy & physiology and the associated labs for the course. He attended National University Of Health Sciences in Lombard, Ill., where he received a B.S. in human biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.). Limato also has a post-graduate certificate in clinical acupuncture, as well as certificates in laboratory diagnosis and physical therapy. He owned and operated two alternative healthcare clinics in Illinois before moving to Nebraska in 2007. His research interests include nutrition and its impact on disease processes. Limato joined CSM in 2010
