Excellent teachers emerge from pre-service programs with knowledge, skills and values resulting from a strong liberal arts program that is integrated with personalized comprehensive courses in the art and science of teaching. 

  

Education Programs include teacher preparation for endorsement in the following: 

·               Early Childhood Education - Birth to Grade 3 

·               Early Childhood Unified - Birth to Grade 3 

·               Elementary Education - Kindergarten - Grade 6 

·               Special Education - Kindergarten  - Grade 9 

·               Middle Level Education - Grade 4 - 9 

·               Secondary Education  - Grade 7 - 12 (art, biology, chemistry, English, language arts, mathematics, natural science, reading, religion and social science) 

·               K-12 - Art, Physical Education 

·               K-12 Supplementary Endorsements - ESL (English as a Second Language), Information Technology 

  

Education students are challenged by roles of preserving the past and predicting the future. Society needs highly qualified teachers who are knowledgeable, creative, flexible, constructive, and competent. Teachers learn to be sensitive to the individuality of all students. 

  

There is national interest in and an awakening recognition of the importance of providing high quality programs for all children.  Public and parochial school opportunities are available to certified educators for positions in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. 

 

Teachers who are graduates of CSM are appreciated by school officials for their exceptional technology skills.
