The humanities minor is an ideal choice for students who want to be sure that their education includes significant exposure to the disciplines that look most directly at just what it means to be human. Through the study of literature, the arts, theology, or history, students are able to study both the tragedy and the glory of living a life.
What is more, the humanities minor is a good general preparation for those going on to take entrance exams to graduate programs of all types.
Required Courses:
18 hours with 9 from each of two different humanities disciplines. Disciplines include: Communications (COM), English (ENG), History and Political Science (HPS), Philosophy (PHL), Theology (THL), Visual Art (ART), and Performing Art (MUS and THR).
