Candidates may be outstanding former CSM student-athletes, coaches, athletic staff members or friends and supporters of College of Saint Mary.

The respective criteria:

·         Student-athletes who have earned a 4-year degree and distinguished themselves as members of CSM varsity teams and last competed at CSM five or more years prior to the date of induction.

·         Past CSM coaches with at least five years of service who have successfully distinguished themselves and their teams to truly reflect CSM's mission.

• Past athletic administrative staff with at least five years of service who have achieved outstanding success in their tenure at CSM and serve as models to student-athletes with the traditions of respect, integrity, responsibility, service and leadership.
• Friends who have provided distinguished and sustained support of CSM athletics.

How to nominate:

Nominations may be submitted by submitting the Hall of Fame nomination form online, or by requesting a form from the CSM Athletics Director at 402- 399-2332.

Nominations are always welcome and will carry over for consideration to future CSM Athletics Hall of Fame events.

What happens next:

Nominations for the fall of each year must be submitted by June 15 of that year.

If no nominations are submitted, the first committee meeting will generate leads for nominations and review of past nominations.  The first committee meeting is the first business day following June 15.

Nominations will be reviewed by the committee and a selection(s) will be made.  No more than two selections will be made per year.

The selections will be affirmed or denied by the President of the University.

The Athletic Director will inform and invite the honoree to the induction.  Should an honoree decline or be unable to attend, the committee will meet again to process another selection.

·         Athletic Director(committee chair)

·         Assistant Athletic Director

·         Alumni Office liaison

·         Boost-Her Club President

·         One faculty representative

·         One current coach

·         One past coach

·         One athlete alumna

·         Two current athletes

Committee selection will be the responsibility of the athletic director.  Every effort will be made to select members with a long history at College of Saint Mary who have been actively connected to the athletic programs.

Other procedures:

The Athletic Director will keep minutes of each meeting and all nominations will be housed in the Athletic Director's office.

Plaques will be purchased - with one being presented to the honoree and another being placed on the Hall of Fame wall in the Lied Fitness Center.  A CSM watch will also be given to the honoree.
