March 10, 2010 - CSM hires Harvey as Head Volleyball Coach

College of Saint Mary (CSM) is pleased to announce that Samantha Harvey has been hired as head volleyball coach for the University.

The new Flames' coach comes to CSM after serving for the past two seasons as the head volleyball coach at Lexington High School in Lexington, Neb. Prior to Lexington, Harvey served as an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska - Kearney (UNK). 
 


While Harvey served as assistant coach for UNK, the Lopers had a 33-5 record, a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. Harvey also brings club volleyball experience having served as the director for the Nebraska Gold Volleyball Club from 2007-08 and coaching for the club for five years.
 


As a standout player for UNK, Harvey's highest honor came in 2005 when she was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American Team. She was also a three- time Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Conference selection and an All-Region selection in 2005. In addition, UNK never failed to make the NCAA post-season during Harvey's playing career.
  

  

Dec. 4, 2009 - Two Flames named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes

Two CSM Volleyball players have been named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes.

Senior Cara Fleischman from Papillion, Neb., and junior Krysta Peers from Omaha, Neb., received this honor for the 2009 season.

Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify for this honor.


Dec. 4, 2009 - Five Flames Volleyball players receive Conference honors

Five members of the CSM Volleyball Team received MCAC (Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference) honors for the 2009 season.
