Biography 

  

   I was born and raised in Omaha Nebraska and been a part of the community for nearly forty years.  My wife Tina and I have three children- Jonah, Mia, and Elijah.  I attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and then received an assistantship to the University of Tennessee to pursue a terminal degree in Art.  Following graduate school I received a National Endowment for the Arts grant and traveled the United States. Soon after I settled in New York City and worked for as an art preparator installing show throughout the East Coast.  After moving back I began to teach at Metropolitan Community College and University of Nebraska at Omaha.  I have been in my current teaching position at College of Saint Mary since 2005.

My focus as an artist is developing an ongoing relationship with abstract painting, its history and its relationship to my work.
