Biography:
I am an Omaha native and am thrilled to be back home
and especially here at CSM! Currently I am the director and an assistant
professor of psychology programs including psychology and applied psychology
and human services. Prior to joining CSM in fall 2003, I was trained as a
developmental/social psychologist in the lab of Dr. Judith Langlois
at The University of Texas at Austin. There I studied how appearance
variables (including both gender and facial attractiveness) affect the
development of stereotypes in infants and children. I am particularly
interested in social development of children and how environment and biology
interact to affect behaviors, emotions, and personality.
In my spare
time, I enjoy hanging out with my husband Chance and my daughter Avery, going
to movies, reading, and cooking.
