Help Desk/Web
Technician
College of Saint Mary is seeking a creative, energetic and
motivated Help Desk/Web Technician to join our Institutional Technology
Team. This position provides general end-user support for the campus
community and is responsible for new and ongoing maintenance of code for the
CSM web sites and management of web-based services.
Essential Functions:
·
Provide general
technical support for the College of Saint Mary community including set up of
staff and faculty computers, and software installation.
·
Develop and
support College of Saint Mary web pages. Update main pages and site
templates. Program and implement utilities and scripts to ensure the most
effective use of the site. Create dynamic web applications using backend
databases.
·
Research,
evaluate and implement multi-media and Internet technology, such as digital
audio, image scanning, e-commerce, live chats, and video/audio
streaming.
·
Assist community
in the creation and maintenance of web pages. Ensure consistency and
integrity of all web pages connected to the College of Saint Mary site.
·
Create and
maintain SharePoint sites for the community using the myCSM
portal.
·
Installs and
maintains software and hardware and maintains equipment (personal computers,
printers, scanners, PDA's, etc.).
·
Special projects
as assigned by the AVPIT.
Qualifications:
·
BS in computer science, web-related graphic
design or MIS is required.
·
Two to four
years of computer/IT helpdesk experience focusing on web solutions.
·
Experience
in areas such as Windows OS, DreamWeaver, Flash, ASP,
.NET, and
Coldfusion programming, HTML.
·
Share Point
Portal knowledge, and database design is preferred.
·
Share Point Portal knowledge, and database
design is preferred.
·
Experience in higher education web development
is a plus.
