College
of Saint Mary in Omaha, NE invites applications for the position of Associate
Dean for Academic Affairs.
College of Saint Mary
(CSM) is a private, Catholic university dedicated to the education of women in
an environment that calls forth potential and fosters leadership. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, CSM offers

excellent academic programs that combine professional and career preparation with
a strong foundation in the liberal arts.
CSM is the only all women's undergraduate college in a five-state area
and is one of 62 in the United States. Located
on 25 acres in Omaha, Nebraska, CSM is minutes from a thriving downtown that
boasts excellent art, theater, music, cultural events, beautiful gardens and a
world-renowned zoo.
The
Associate Dean reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and assists
the Vice President in the overall leadership and management of undergraduate
and graduate academic programs. The
successful candidate should provide evidence of administrative leadership
within an academic setting, strong project management skills, excellent oral and
written communication, a commitment to professional development, demonstrated
achievement in a collaborative environment, a commitment to Catholic traditions
and an ability to work with diverse faculty and students. Specific
responsibilities of this position include development and implementation of a
study abroad program, oversight of the Center for Transcultural
Learning and CSM dual credit programs, coordination with the Student Retention
Council, oversight of graduate program assessment, liaison to faculty
committees and management of special projects.
Qualified
applicants will possess a doctorate or terminal degree in their discipline and
academic experience appropriate for appointment at the associate or full
professor level. Familiarity and
experience with graduate programs, library operations, grant writing and
women's only education would be advantageous.
