Department 

Job Description 

Lied Fitness Center 

This job consists mainly of: answering the telephone; assisting guests who use our facilities; wash and fold towels and uniforms; input names of guests into data sheet; assist athletic director and coaches with mailings; and performing any other duty deemed necessary by the Lied Fitness Center staff. 

Campus Store 

Cashier, with other responsibilities:  process and stock merchandise, answer telephone, use computer (Excel and Word), customer service, any other requests of the Campus Store Manager.  Must be prompt and reliable 

Library 

Job activities include, but are not limited to: circulation desk coverage, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, shelving, processing library materials, and collecting payment for fines and services. 

Engineering 

In warmer months, light outside work to include: lawn care assistance (mowing, trimming, weed eating, trash pickup) and other lawn related tasks as assigned. In cooler months, general inside light office work and light maintenance work. 

Science Labs 

Set up and tear down biology and/or chemistry labs. Prepare reagents, maintain inventory lists, and help with general up keep of labs. 

Achievement Center 

Spring 2010 opening: The primary responsibility of the AC work-study is to provide direct academic support in the form of tutoring. To this end a qualified candidate must be knowledgeable (competent) about course content and keep up-to-date, possess a great deal of patience, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Ideal applicants would be sophomores through seniors with a high GPA.  Applicants must have a "B" or better in the courses they wish to tutor, must submit a faculty recommendation, and must agree to complete ten-hours of paid tutor training. 

Additionally, tutors may be asked to complete administrative tasks such as data entry, mail runs, etc. 

*Ability to tutor science and math is particularly helpful.
