Thanks to a
grant from the National Science
Foundation, College of Saint Mary now offers the Marie Curie
Scholars Program. This prestigious program provides significant financial
support and resources for academically talented young women who study science
or math at CSM.
Marie Curie
Scholars may receive up to $18,000 annually for four years in gift aid - as
long as they continue to meet program requirements. Participants will also have
access to academic support programs such as designated tutors, research
opportunities, seminars, and clubs.
To be
eligible for the Marie Curie Scholars Program, students must be a high school
graduate; major in math, biology, or chemistry; be a U.S.
citizen; have an ACT of 22 or a SAT of 1000; and have a minimum high school
G.P.A. of 3.5.
Applications
are competitive and require completion of an application
form, submission of an essay describing their interest in math or science,
one letter of recommendation, a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, and
an interview with a CSM faculty member.
