The lenders listed here have been selected based on past experience and the excellent service and benefits they offer to their borrowers.  However, you are free to choose ANY lender that participates in the FFEL program even if they are not found on this list. 

·         If you were awarded one of the Stafford Loans (or if your parents will be borrowing a PLUS Loan) it is necessary to designate a lender. 

·         If you are borrowing your first Stafford Loan (or PLUS Loan) you may choose to select a lender from the lender list below or find one on your own.  If you have borrowed before, we recommend that you consider remaining with the same lender to avoid multiple payments later. 

·         If you wish to select a lender from the list below, click on their link to apply for your loans:  Stafford Loans (subsidized or unsubsidized), Parent PLUS Loans, or Alternative Loans.
