Evaluation of
transfer credits
The Registrar's Office evaluates all transcripts for new
transfer students to determine their applicability to the major
requirements.
College of Saint Mary accepts courses as
transfer from all institutions accredited by the Higher Learning
Commission. We also accept credits such
as DANTES, CLEP, Advanced Placement, and ACE approved company-training courses.
Step 1: The admissions
office forwards all transcripts to the Registrar's Office after an applicant is
accepted.
Step 2: They are
evaluated according to a checksheet for a major and
are entered into the CSM transcript.
Only credit is entered. Transfer
GPA is not counted in the CSM GPA calculation.
Step 3: The checksheet is returned to admissions and forwarded to an
academic advisor.
