Meet the Faculty
Dr. Acklie teaches undergraduate courses in classroom management, literacy methods and assessment, special education theory, law, methods and Contact Deannaassessment, young adult literature, early childhood program management, and multicultural education and has taught graduate courses in literacy methods, special education theory and multicultural education. She supervises SMART, LIFE and Homework Club. Dr. Acklie holds a B.A. and M.A. in Education from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She joined the University in 2003.

Contact Melanie 
Dr. Felton teaches undergraduate courses in early childhood teaching methods, curriculum development, program administration, historical influences and current issues in early childhood, children's literature and integrating fine arts in the classroom and taught graduate courses in educational psychology, assessment and evaluation strategies in education. Dr. Felton holds a B.S. in Child Development and Psychology and a M.S. in Child Development from Iowa State University, a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Nebraska. She joined the University in 1989.

Contact DanielleDr. Ladwig teaches education courses in assessment, management, reading and writing in the content area and introduction to education along with field supervision of student teachers. Prior to teaching at the post-secondary level, she taught high school English for 10 years. Dr. Ladwig has Nebraska certification in: 7-12 English, English as a Second Language, Assessment, and provisional Spanish. She earned her B.S. in education, M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction and Ed.D from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. She joined CSM in 2010.

Contact Meryellen
Dr. Schulz teaches undergraduate senior research courses and graduate courses in assessment and leadership and supervises graduate capstone research. She supervises CSM Latina Summer Academy. Dr. Schulz holds a B.A from Wayne State College, a M.S. from the University of Nebraska Omaha and a Ph.D. from the University  of Nebraska Lincoln. She began teaching at the college in 1999. 

Assistant Director of the Master of Arts in Teaching Program, Claudia Wickham taught middle school reading for 12 years. She is dedicated to motivating future teachers to infuse literacy strategies across the curriculum. Claudia works with all MAT students through placement and evaluation of their practicum experience. She holds a B.S. in Education and a M.S. in Mental Health Practices in Schools and a M.A. in Literacy. She is currently enrolled in the Ed.D. program at College of Saint Mary. She began teaching at the college in 2008.
