CSM signs their first
recruit for 2009-2010 season
1/27/2009 - College of Saint Mary Head Coach Jenny Madrid has inked her first signee for the 2009
season. Cortney
Czapla a 6'1 middle blocker from Twin River High
School in Genoa, Nebraska, signed her Letter of Intent to play for the Flames
Volleyball for the 2009-2010 season.
Czapla, earned All-State Honorable mention honors, Academic All State, and 1st team all conference while in
Volleyball and Basketball. She was also a 3 time state qualifier in high jump
and finished in 2nd place at the 2008 state track meet.
Coach Madrid had the following to say: "I am very excited about the addition of Cortney to our volleyball program; she is a very
competitive player and also a very smart hitter. She should help our program out and fill in a
role immediately. She has succeeded on both
the court and in the classroom which is very import for our program and for the
history of Academic success. I am truly thrilled to welcome Cortney to the Flames Volleyball Family"
