Three
Lady Flames were named to the All-MCAC Women's Volleyball Teams. Veronica
Barrientos was named first team All-MCAC, Cara Fleischman was named to the
second team and Samantha Sandiland received honorable mention recognition. For

The
All-MCAC Women's Soccer Teams were announced in late November and five college
of Saint Mary players were named to this team: Melissa King- Forward and
Daniella Padilla-Midfielder were first team selections. Katie Archibald-Midfielder, Jessie
McLaughlin-Defender and Hillary Brown-Defender were second team selections.

Flames BB
claimed their first victory of the year by defeating the Bethany Swedes 70-65
on November 25. According to Coach Brewer the team played outstanding defense
and did a great job on the offensive boards. Jennifer Perkins pulled down 16
rebounds to lead the defensive effort. On offense Nyahok Duop scored 16 points
and Jessica See added 15 points.
Over
Thanksgiving weekend the Flames hosted the Thanksgiving Holiday Inn Tournament.
Participating teams were Concordia University, Kansas Wesleyan University, and
Dakota Wesleyan University. Kansas Wesleyan defeated Dakota Wesleyan 63-57 to
win the tournament. The Flames Angela Jones was named to the All Tournament
Team.
January 2
through January 8 the basketball team will be in balmy Florida where they will
play Northwood University on January 6 and Palm Beach Atlantic on the 7th.
The Flames return home to play Johnson and Wales University out of Denver on
January 9. MCAC play begins on January 13. The MCAC race will be wide open.
College of the Ozarks was selected as the pre-season favorite by a vote of the
coaches.
The
Softball team is busy with winter conditioning and drill work. Play is
scheduled to begin February 27 & 28 at the Evangel Tournament. The team
travels to Tucson, Arizona over spring break, March 5 thru March 12. More to
come on FLAME softball!
