Molecular Biology

Bachelor of Science in Biology

The Molecular Biology/Graduate School Preparation degree explores life at the molecular and cellular level—how DNA, RNA, and proteins work together to control the function of cells and organisms. Through a strong foundation in scientific principles and hands-on lab experience, you’ll be ready for careers in biomedical research, biotechnology, or advanced study in graduate or professional school.

What You’ll Learn

  • Gene expression, DNA replication, and protein synthesis
  • Lab techniques like PCR, gel electrophoresis, and microscopy
  • Critical thinking, data analysis, and scientific communication

Career Paths

Graduates are prepared for roles in research labs, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, genetic testing facilities, quality control, and public health agencies—or for advanced study in biology, molecular genetics, biochemistry, or professional programs in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, or veterinary science.
