OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary (CSM) has grown its first-time, first-year enrollment for the second consecutive year and welcomed its largest freshman class in 25 years.

Since fall 2024, CSM’s incoming class has grown nearly 42%, according to the 2026 fall census report.

“The enrollment growth this fall represents a significant milestone for College of Saint Mary. With this marking our second consecutive year of substantial growth, we are building strong momentum that will help us continue strengthening CSM’s reputation as a top choice for young women planning their future,” said Andrea Loll, assistant vice president of enrollment services.

CSM enrolled 834 students, including 130 first-time, first-year students, which is a 10% increase from fall 2025 to fall 2026 and the most first-time, first-year students since 2001.

Incoming undergraduate enrollment, including first-time, first-year students and transfer students, increased 16% from fall 2025 to 2026. Incoming graduate students increased 21% from fall 2025 to 2026.

The increase in enrollment is mostly due to growth in nursing, health professions and the athletics programs.

CSM’s healthcare programs, including the Practical Nursing Certificate (PNC) program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS), had steady growth from fall 2025 to fall 2026.

The BSN program saw a 44% increase in enrollment, and the PNC program saw a 14% increase.

CSM’s athletic program is larger than ever, with 242 student-athletes competing in 12 sports. Student-athletes now make up 43% of the entire student body.
