The Occupational Therapy program at CSM prepares students to deliver quality occupational therapy services. The program emphasizes providing compassionate, ethical occupational therapy services to all individuals; particularly those who are vulnerable to compromised health and quality living.
Employment of occupational therapists is expected to increase by 21-35% for all occupations through 2012, and graduates of the program are equipped with the knowledge and skills to promote quality of life that is expressed in meaningful doing or occupation.

All students complete off-site fieldwork experiences at some of the nation's top healthcare facilities. Some of the locations where our students have practiced include: Children's Hospital and Medical Center (Omaha); George Washington University Hospital (Washington, D.C.); Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital (Lincoln, Neb.); The Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.); Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis (Mo.); Scripps Memorial Hospital (La Jolla, Calif.), Texas Children's Hospital (Houston, Texas)

Board Pass Rates
- The total number of graduates who passed the certification exam as first time new graduate test takers in 2009-2011 was 48 out of 59, which is a 81% pass rate. During that 3 year time period, the program had 59 graduates.
- The total pass rate for graduates, including first time and repeat test takers in 2009-2011 was 56 out of 59 test takers, which is 95%. During that 3 year time period, the program had 59 graduates.
