The Start of Something Special
Convocation marks the official start of your college experience at CSM. This special event welcomes new students into the community and celebrates the beginning of your academic journey. It’s a time to come together, meet your classmates, and feel the support of the entire campus.
What to Expect
Convocation takes place at the beginning of the academic year, just before classes start. It’s more than just an event. It marks the moment you officially become part of something bigger. Convocation typically consists for the following:
- A formal welcome from campus leadership
- Introduction of the Mercy tradition
- A chance to meet fellow new students
- A celebration of the start of your college journey
Convocation will be held at the conclusion of New Student Orientation on Tuesday, August 25 from 1pm to 2:30pm.
