CSM Names Butler New Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Services

OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary (CSM) is proud to announce that Andrea Butler, MS, has been named the University’s new assistant vice president of enrollment services. She began her duties March 18.

As assistant vice president of enrollment services, Butler will assess admissions processes, operations, and effectiveness and, with the vice president, collaborate with financial aid, the registrar and other teams to support new student enrollment.

“Andrea brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role at CSM,” said President Heather Smith, MBA. “Her background in academia, combined with her leadership in digital learning and enrollment management, makes her a valuable addition to our team as we continue to strive for excellence in admissions and student success.”

Butler, who resides in Omaha, comes to CSM from Colorado State University’s Global Campus, where she served as assistant vice president of digital learning. Prior to that, she held a variety of roles in academia, including vice president of innovation, digital and global strategy and associate vice president of academic affairs at Doane University in Crete; executive director of enrollment management and community and director of adult and graduate programs at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln; and adjunct faculty at Creighton University, Hamilton College and Methodist College. She began her career as a decorated military nurse officer in the United States Air Force.

Butler is in the process of earning her doctorate of education from Northcentral University in Scottsdale, AZ. She completed the Executive Management Development Program from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. She earned master’s degree in health promotion with an emphasis in human resources from Methodist College. Butler earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Creighton University.
