Great Conversations Luncheon to feature author Elizabeth Weil

OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary will feature New York Times bestselling author Elizabeth Weil at its annual Great Conversations luncheon on Thursday, April 25th. Weil is a coauthor of the memoir The Girl Who Smiled Beads with Clemantine Wamariya. The Girl Who Smiled Beads is a beautiful and honest story of survival amid war and its aftershocks and a testament to the power of constructing a life for oneself.

Elizabeth Weil is also the author of No Cheating, No Dying; They All Laughed at Christopher Columbus; Love Notes; and Crib Notes. Based in San Francisco, she is a contributing writer to the New York Times Magazine and contributing editor for the Outside magazine. She has received the New York Press Club Award, the Lowell Thomas Award, and the GLAAD Media Award for her writing and news coverage.

The Great Conversations Luncheon will be held at Temple Israel, 13111 Sterling Ridge Drive, Omaha. Weil will host a book signing at 11:30 a.m., with the luncheon and presentation beginning at noon. Tickets are $25 per person. Register online at CSM.edu/GreatConversations.
