College of Saint Mary to host WeCOACH workshop for women coaches
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary (CSM) will host a professional growth and leadership development workshop for current and aspiring women coaches.
The WeCOACH Regional Workshop is Wednesday, Feb. 4, which is National Girls and Women in Sports Day, a national celebration of the achievements of women and girls in athletics and a call to action for supporting access, inclusion and opportunity for women in sports.
“National Girls and Women in Sports Day is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we invest in women leaders. Our Omaha regional workshop brings coaches together from all sports and levels to learn, connect and strengthen the pipeline of women who are shaping the future of sport,” said Vanessa Fuchs, WeCOACH CEO. “We’re proud to partner with College of Saint Mary to create spaces where women coaches can thrive and lead with confidence.”
The workshop offers professional growth through networking opportunities, discussions on critical issues impacting the coaching profession and best practices for successfully navigating challenges.
“Women coaches face unique challenges, and the opportunities to grow, connect and be seen aren’t always equal. The WeCOACH workshop gives women coaches a chance to learn from each other, build confidence, share real experiences and feel supported,” said Keri Rodriguez, CSM’s head golf coach and a panel speaker at the workshop.
WeCOACH is a nonprofit organization dedicated to recruiting, advancing and retaining women coaches in all sports.
The workshop is from 8:15 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Hill Macaluso Hall at CSM. To register, go to wecoachsports.org/programs-events/regional-2/.
