CSM names Laura Tatten as vice president of community partnerships
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary (CSM) has named Laura Tatten as vice president of community partnerships, a new position.
“Laura will be instrumental in building and sustaining relationships within our community, expanding collaboration to better meet the needs of our students and our partners,” said President Heather Smith. “We are confident her expertise and dedication will greatly benefit both CSM and the greater Omaha community.”
Tatten will create and nurture partnerships with community organizations and leaders. These partnerships will provide organizations with the resources and support they need while strengthening the College’s identity within the community. She will also explore potential opportunities with community organizations and companies to support students as they prepare to enter the workforce.
“I'm most excited to utilize my contacts and experience to create win-win partnerships in several key areas,” Tatten said.
Tatten began her career working at banks in Omaha and Des Moines. She then worked for First Data, leading the financial services division’s marketing for 14 years.
When she got an opportunity to create and lead a marketing team for Boys Town, Tatten moved to the nonprofit sector. At Boys Town, she was responsible for all marketing, communications and several areas within fundraising for the headquarters in Omaha and 14 sites.
In 2019, Laura joined the executive team of United Way of the Midlands to manage the fundraising efforts with over 800 corporate partners and individual donors. This unique experience provided a deep understanding of the business and nonprofit agency communities.
