Glesmann appointed by the Governor’s Office to serve as Nurse Educator on Nebraska Center for Nursing Board

Omaha, Neb. – College of Saint Mary would like to congratulate Dr. Christi Glesmann, associate professor and director of undergraduate nursing, on her appointment to serve as the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Nebraska Nurse Educator on the Nebraska Center for Nursing Board. The AICUN receives one nurse educator position on the Nebraska Center for Nursing Board. 

College of Saint Mary President Dr. Maryanne Stevens, RSM, recommended Dr. Glesmann for this appointment. A total of five nominees from independent Nebraska colleges and universities were reviewed and a final selection was made by the Governor.

The Nebraska Center for Nursing focuses on the recruitment and retention of nurse’s through Nebraska. They focus on increasing the recruitment of new nurses; increasing retention of the current nursing workforce; and increasing the enrollment capacity of nursing education programs.

Dr. Glesmann earned her Associate, Bachelor, and Master of Science of Nursing degrees as well as her Doctorate of Education in Health Professions Education from College of Saint Mary. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse and has been a Registered Nurse since 2004. Dr. Glesmann is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International - Gamma Pi Chapter. She has worked at CSM since 2006.
