College of Saint Mary nursing graduates achieve 97% NCLEX pass rate

OMAHA, Neb. – Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates from College of Saint Mary (CSM) achieved a 97% National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) pass rate for the second year in a row. 

“Thanks to the dedication of our faculty, clinical instructors and student success team, our graduates are entering the workforce highly prepared and in demand, most securing positions before graduation,” said Christi Glesmann, assistant dean of undergraduate health sciences and professor of nursing. “I am incredibly proud of each of our graduates. I look forward to seeing the impact they will make in our communities and within the nursing profession.” 

The NCLEX is a nationwide examination that tests the competency of nursing school graduates and provides the required licensing for nurses. The May 2025 nursing graduates took their exams between July and September. Ninety-seven percent of the graduating class passed the exam on their first attempt.  

CSM’s comprehensive student success services, including post-graduate NCLEX coaching, bolstered the nursing graduates' success. 

“Our students and faculty share a commitment to excellence that shows in this 97% first-time NCLEX pass rate for the second year in a row,” said Megan Ray, director of undergraduate nursing. “It takes perseverance, teamwork and heart to reach this level of success, and I could not be prouder of what they have accomplished together.”
