Clarkson College, College of Saint Mary partner to offer advanced degrees in healthcare
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary (CSM) and Clarkson College are teaming up to offer graduate pathways for students pursuing advanced degrees in healthcare, filling a need for healthcare professionals.
The colleges recently signed an agreement to offer undergraduate students with graduate degree pathway options.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer students at College of Saint Mary and Clarkson College with a pathway to earn advanced degrees in healthcare to pursue their career goals and make a difference in the lives of patients,” said CSM President Heather Smith. "This partnership will make a significant impact on the healthcare workforce at a time when more well-educated and skilled healthcare professionals are needed.”
Clarkson College undergraduates have pathway options to the Master of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science (MKES), Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (PA), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) programs at CSM.
CSM undergraduates have pathway options to the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) to Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs at Clarkson College. Certificate programs offered by Clarkson College are also available to CSM students.
“It is imperative that educators work together to decrease the cost of healthcare professional education by removing barriers to assist students directly into their next level of education,” Dr. Andreia Nebel, Clarkson College president said. “This agreement puts us one step closer to helping solve the healthcare workforce shortage facing our communities. We are proud to partner with College of Saint Mary and look forward to working together to help students achieve their goals for many years to come.”
The pathways are open to undergraduate students at Clarkson College and CSM in eligible majors. Students have a simplified application process, guaranteed prerequisite alignment, priority review, dual advising and dedicated admission counseling.
Students must complete program prerequisites, maintain the required GPA and meet any testing or interview requirements. Students should begin the process as early as their sophomore year to ensure they meet all the prerequisites before applying.
