Accomplishments and Professional Work
For more than three decades, Lortz has taught and developed courses in advanced business applications, electronic commerce, programming, information systems, database management, and digital media design at the College of Saint Mary. He has authored over 45 original computer courses for adult learners, produced hundreds of online lessons and webinars, and written multiple self-published guidebooks.

As a freelance technology writer, he co-authored 33 feature articles for Smart Computing, PC Today, and CPU Magazine. His software and technology leadership includes directing information systems for Utilization Management Systems and pioneering senior computer education programs as Director of Technology & Education for the Senior Health Foundation.

Gilson is an ethical, collaborative, and energetic banking professional with extensive experience driving growth for major financial institutions through digital transformation and technology-enabled sales strategy. Across roles at U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, UMB Bank, Northwest Bank, and First Westroads Bank, he consistently expanded portfolios, strengthened client relationships, and generated high-value revenue outcomes. His work includes major achievements in commercial lending, enterprise deal negotiation, and the integration of software-based banking solutions.

As a Regional Account Manager for Alogent, he manages an 11-state territory, advising C-suite leaders on SaaS products and digital banking technologies. His earlier banking career includes numerous performance awards, including multiple Sales Achievement Awards, Best Shot Awards, Sales Excellence Awards, and All Star recognition.

In higher education, Gilson has taught more than 1,100 students across business disciplines at the College of Saint Mary and served as an instructor for the University of Phoenix, where he was honored as Faculty Member of the Year.
