Mothers Living & Learning

College of Saint Mary’s Mothers Living & Learning (MLL) program is an innovative residential option for single mothers who would like to pursue a full-time undergraduate college degree while living on campus with their children. MLL residents have numerous services and opportunities available to them on CSM’s campus. These include generous financial aid, assistance with child care subsidy funding, access to on-campus child care per availability, learning support, tutoring services, leadership opportunities, clubs and organizations, competitive athletics, counseling services, and much more.

Bring your child to live and grow with you on campus.

  • Suite-style living for single mothers and their children (up to three children; at least six weeks and up to 12 years of age at time of graduation).
  • In-suite full bathroom, living area, bedrooms, and kitchenette.
  • There are kitchens, dining areas and free laundry facilities on every floor
  • Access to on-campus Spellman Child Development Center per availability.
  • The Pantry, CSM’s food and resource pantry, available to MLL students.
  • Room and board includes an on-campus meal plan for you and your child(ren).

MLL Requirements 

  • Must be accepted to a full-time, CSM undergraduate program  
  • Must be in-state Nebraska resident
  • Up to 3 children living on campus with you (up to three children; at least six weeks and up to 12 years of age at time of graduation)

MLL Application Process 

  1. Apply for admission at csm.edu/apply and mark your interest in the MLL program.
  2. After being accepted to CSM as a full-time undergraduate student, you'll interview with CSM’s MLL Team.
  3. After being accepted into the MLL Program, you'll then complete your housing application.
  4. Once you're housing application is approved, you'll be asked to complete a background check. 
  5. After passing a background check, you will receive an official MLL acceptance package.
